eBay: Miscellaneous
Initially, all the creative work at eBay was divided into teams that catered to specific verticals. I started off on the Hard Goods team (tech, motors, etc.) before switching to the Seller team (B2C and C2C). I then switched to the Seasonal team, where I wrote copy for all the key retail moments. This meant that there were a lot of eyes on all of my work because anything tied to a seasonal moment was always on the homepage. I ultimately became the first copywriter to write for all the different verticals, which has increased my flexibility for different styles of work.
